with Orchestra
The Alturas Duo and Elqui Trio's fusion of South American folk and traditional classical instrumentation combined with music written especially for their strengths provides a virtuosic and sonorous offering of orchestral possibilities. Equally at home giving pre-concert talks as they are performing on stage, these seasoned artists provide audiences with intriguing and passionate informed performances for an unforgettable symphony experience.
"Danzas Peregrinas" proved to be an audience pleaser that brought a vibrant Chilean voice to the concert Hall....Salinas uses both the melodic and rhythmic capabilities of the guitar and lute to excellent effect, and the multi-hued playing of Hill and Boltes was a treat.
